Cop boyfriend of Donna-Lee Donaldson arrested
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Constable Noel Maitland, the boyfriend of missing social media personality Donna-Lee Donaldson, has been taken into police custody in relation to her disappearance.
Maitland was arrested by detectives from the Counter Terrorism and Organised Crime Investigation Branch on Wednesday following a case review by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, and members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force and The Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM).
“As a result of the case review, it was agreed that there was adequate evidence to link Constable Noel Maitland to the disappearance of Ms Donaldson,” Deputy Commissioner of Police, Fitz Bailey said in a video release.
Formal charges are expected to be laid against Maitland soon.
Maitland, who was recently removed from the front line and placed on administrative duties, is reportedly part of a love triangle involving Donaldson and a policewoman who has a child for him.

The policewoman was also removed from front line duties, according to her attorney Oswest Senior-Smith.
Bailey said there is no evidence to link the policewoman to the disappearance of Donaldson at this time.
Donaldson was last seen on July 11 at an apartment at Chelsea Manor complex in New Kingston, St Andrew. The apartment is believed to be occupied by Maitland.
