Clash chaos: Fully Bad, Honormosity and Kyodi detained after altercation at Sting
The police have detained dancehall artistes Fully Bad, Honormosity, and Kyodi after a planned clash performance went awry during the closing moments of this year’s Sting 2023 concert at Jamworld in Portmore, St Catherine.
The clash started with Kyodi and Fully Bad going tune-for-tune, with Fully Bad performing songs like “Password,” and Kyodi responding with “Crime Scene.” A twist occurred when Honormosity, dressed in full black, reportedly attempted to borrow Fully Bad’s microphone but was unsuccessful, leading to a confrontation. After Kyodi, dressed in an alien suit, delivered a lyric from “Crime Scene,” tensions escalated.
When Honormosity finally got a microphone and reportedly threatened violence, a shoving match ensued, escalating into a physical altercation. Fully Bad used his microphone to strike Honormosity, and the confrontation continued until both fell off the stage and into the screaming crowd.
Multiple participants joined the brawl, with security officers intervening to restore order.
Senior Superintendent of Police Christopher Phillips confirmed the detention of the three artists at the S. Catherine South division headquarters in Portmore.
Phillips said a statement addressing the incident will be issued to the public soon.
In an interview with Observer Online, Honormosity’s brother, Zungu, stated that Fully Bad’s attempt to physically confront Honormosity is a response to his inability to handle him lyrically.
“Fully Bad know say lyrically him caan manage Honormosity, that’s why him try fight him, is like him run but in a different way. Everybody know Honormosity, him know say him don’t do anything for clout, him never go out deh fi violence, him lock up inna him house and just a pree lyrics, dem know say ah lyrics him come fi chat and him ah the clash king,” Zungu stated.
“Mi just make a link and the police dem say him soon forward. Honormosity and Fully Bad don’t have anything, Honormosity and everybody good, so for dem bring it physical and ah mash up the culture, it really bad. Who else really a carry the culture? Honormosity ah carry it as a Clash King.”
