4. Steve Leonard Francis from Sunset Crescent in Four Paths who is wanted for murder and assault occasioning bodily harm
5. Orkney Murray from Nine Turns who is wanted for wounding with intent.
According to Commanding Officer for the Clarendon Division Superintendent Carlos Russell, the men are considered armed and dangerous.
“We are asking these persons to visit the May Pen police. Also, anyone who knows the whereabouts of these individuals are being asked to contact the May Pen CIB. We are also warning persons that it is an offence to harbour a fugitive,” he said.
He also pointed out that in recent weeks the division has seen an upsurge in criminal activity in Denbigh in the parish.
“Since the upsurge we have made some significant arrests of persons who are involved in these activities and we have some more persons who will be arrested soon, so we believe there will be a decrease in these activities. So we are on top of what is happening,” he added.
“We are also imploring the citizens to continue to work with the police by providing us with the necessary information to carry out our operational activities.”
Superintendent Russell also pointed out that the uptick in criminal activites in the Toll Gate area are now under control as a result of recent arrests.
“We have also put some more boots on the ground and have increased our operational activities in the space and it is bearing some fruit,” he said, adding that “there has been a major impact on gang members in the parish, some of whom are in custody and others have died.”
“What we are seeing with some of these murders is that they are caused by interpersonal conflicts, so persons having conflicts don’t deal with them in a peaceful way and so they result in violence and so we are asking persons to settle their differences amicably.”
