Clarendon man sprayed with bullets; more than 20 spent shells found at murder scene
CLARENDON, Jamaica — More than 20 spent shells were found at a murder scene where a man was shot dead in New Town in Freetown, Clarendon this morning.
The deceased, identified as 33-year-old Leroy Nelson, otherwise called ‘Ray Ray’, a resident of Rosehall district in Freetown, was sprayed with bullets by his attackers.
It was reported that around 1:37 am, residents heard numerous loud explosions sounding like gunshots and summoned the police.
Upon their arrival, lawmen saw Nelson lying in a pool of blood and suffering from what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds to his head and upper body.
He was was pronounced dead at the May Pen Hospital and then transported to the morgue.
Crime scene detectives processed the area this morning and found 26 spent casings. Up to press time, police had neither identified a suspect nor established a motive for the attack.
