Businessman charged in alleged love-triangle murder
ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica – A St Elizabeth businessman has been slapped with a murder charge in connection with the fatal shooting of a man who had come to the residence of his child’s mother while he was also present on a visit.
Charged is Robert Russell, 45-year-old of Olive Park, Santa Cruz, in the parish.
He is accused of killing 35-year-old Orlando Blake on the night of Saturday, September 30.

Reports are that about 10:20 pm, Russell visited a woman with whom he shares a child and they retired to bed. Sometime after, Blake reportedly went to the house to visit the woman, who is said to be his girlfriend.
He entered the house and was shot, allegedly by Russell, who is a licnsed with his licensed firearm holder.
The police were summoned and Blake was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Russell was immediately taken into custody and his firearm seized.
He was charged on Tuesday. A court date is being finalised.
Head of the St Elizabeth Division, Acting Superintendent Coleridge Minto, is urging citizens to allow the justice system to take its course.
This follows news that the car belonging to a key witness to the incident was burnt.
