Burrowes and Walker to make professional debuts at JGA Open
HANOVER, Jamaica – Former Jamaican junior representatives Justin Burrowes and Sebert Walker Jr are to make their professional debuts when the 56th Jamaica Golf Association (JGA) Open gets underway on Sunday morning at the Tryall course in Hanover.
Burrowes and Walker will be part of nearly 40 players who will be seeking honours in the 54-hole championships that will be held at Tryall for the fifth straight year. Burrowes won back-to-back amateur titles last year.
Defending champion Patrick Cover of the USA will aim to win back-to-back titles and his third overall while another American, Josh Anderson, who was second last year, is also expected to tee up.
Jamaicans Wesley Brown, Brian Bailey, Neville Carr, Orville Christie, Delroy Johnson, Cosiar McKenzie are also down to take part.
