Broadbell second, Parchment third in Diamond League 110mH
Reigning world champion Grant Holloway of the United States proved too good for the Jamaican sprint hurdles pair of Rasheed Broadbell and Hansle Parchment as he stormed to victory in the men’s 110 metres hurdles at the Diamond League meeting in Zurich, Switzerland on Thursday.
Holloway, who knew he was up against a stellar lineup, bolted out of the blocks and took command of the race to cross the line in a time of 13.02 seconds for the top spot. This is the American’s first hold of the Diamond League trophy.
Meanwhile, 2022 Commonwealth champion, Broadbell, who produced a personal best time of 12.99 seconds while defeating Holloway at the Lausanne Diamond League in August, had to settle for second behind the American in a time of 13.06 seconds.
Broadbell was followed by his compatriot and Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games gold medallist, Hansle Parchment, who finished third in 13.26 seconds.
