Body found on St John’s Road in Spanish Town
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Even as the Government declared a state of emergency (SOE) in St Catherine, police authorities discovered a body at 115 John’s Road in war-torn Spanish Town on Friday.
The Corporate Communications Unit confirmed the body dump, but had no details about the body’s gender or identity.
The SOE announcement was made by Prime Minister Andrew Holness at a press conference at Jamaica House on Friday morning.

The SOEs were declared following Tuesday’s gun attack in the busy Spanish Town market district, resulting in three people being killed.

A woman was also shot and injured in the parish.

Following the mayhem, a 48 hour curfew was imposed in sections of Spanish Town.
