Bail extended for security guard in Slickianna case
ST JAMES, Jamaica – Rohan Rose, the security guard implicated in the murder case of social media personality Aneka ‘Slickianna” Townsend, had his bail extended when he appeared in the St James Circuit Court on Wednesday.
The matter has now been set for May 5, where the parties are expected to agree on a new date for the trial for Rose, as the case is said to be ready to proceed to trial.
His lawyer, Martyn Thomas, was not present on Wednesday.
Rose is currently out on $500,000 bail in relation to the charge of misprision of felony, after it is alleged that he knew about the incident where Townsend was killed and failed to report it to the authorities.
The prosecution has so far argued that Rose was informed by alleged killer Rushawn Patterson about having killed Townsend and left her body at the side of the road in Reading, St James which was found on October 21 last year.
Patterson is still in custody as he was denied bail when he last appeared in court in March.
