9mm recovered between blocks in Kingston 13
KINGSTON, Jamaica — One 9mm Glock 17 pistol with a magazine containing 10 rounds of ammunition was seized by the police on Fitzgerald Avenue, Kingston 13 early Saturday morning.
Reports from the Hunts Bay police are that about 1:10 am, a team was on mobile patrol in the area, when a man was seen standing in the dark. Upon seeing the service vehicle, the man reportedly jumped over a wall and into a yard. The police entered the premises where they apprehended the man and conducted a search of the area as well as his person.
During the search the firearm and ammunition was found hidden between two blocks.
The man was taken into custody, however; his identity is being withheld pending further investigation.
