22-y-o man charged after allegedly robbing Portland shop
PORTLAND, Jamaica – A 22-year-old man was charged after he allegedly broke into a woman’s shop and stole over $30,000 worth of assorted liquor in Blueberry Hill, Buff Bay, Portland in November last year.
Charged with shop-breaking and larceny is Romario Jones of Nelson Street in the parish.
Reports are that about 9:00 pm on Monday, November 28, 2022, a woman securely locked her shop and went home.
The following day, she received a phone call informing her that her business had been broken into.
She made checks and discovered that the front door was torn off and assorted liquor valued at $33,000 was stolen.
A report was subsequently made, and after an investigation, Jones was taken into custody and charged.
