Queen of Soul to go one better in Jamboree Sprint
The $1.5-million Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Commission (BGLC)/Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association (TOBA) Jamboree Sprint will be contested by six juveniles as they venture over 6 furlongs (1,200m).
Below is the analysis of the runners in the native-bred two-year-old maiden special weight event.
1. ROSETTA: (2 rn f by Bold Conquest – Khadiliah) – Finished fourth behind stablemate Digital One on October 28 over 6 furlongs. Rosetta has been training quite well coming into this race and should run a much better race. Note: First-time Lasix.
2. WARRIORSTOMP: (2 b c by Savoy Stomp – Cup O Tea) – Nicely-bred colt who is out for the experience.
3. FASTNFURIOUSLINKS: (2 gr/rn f by Casual Trick – Another Fury) – Ran a decent race on debut when finishing second by 5 ¾ length behind stablemate Comehometome over 4 ½ furlongs (900m) on October 29. Fastnfuriouslinks should benefit from that run and is expected to run another pleasing race.
4. MATUSO: (2 b c by Casual Trick – Puddy Pooh) – Well-bred colt out of former 1000 Guineas winner Puddy Pooh. Matuso has been working well for this race and should run accordingly.
5. QUEEN OF SOUL: (2 ch f by Soul Warrior – Aretha) – Went down fighting on debut to Run Julie Run on October 15. Queen of Soul was beaten by a short head going 5 furlongs round (1,000m). With the run under her girth, Queen of Soul should now get thing right and go one better.
6. HIMAYA: (2 rn f by Casual Trick – Raksha) – Is going to be left behind here.
