A history of the company
Lincoln Gordon and Sons is a family-owned food processing business in Summerfield, Clarendon, Jamaica, operating under the brand name Lincoln’s since 2011. The business was inspired by the need for a complementary sauce for dishes served at a jerk pit. Encouraged by the success of its sauce at the Denbigh Agricultural Show, the company now offers over 30 unique products, including sauces, seasonings, porridges, oils, flours, and herbal teas like soursop tea and green plantain porridge powder. Signature items include turmeric ketchup and ginger-beet ketchup, all made from locally grown produce by Jamaican farmers. Lincoln Gordon and Sons is committed to delivering natural and great-tasting products that reflect Jamaica’s culture and authentic flavours.
All equipment and machinery used in production are designed and built by Lincoln Gordon, a mechanical engineer and the company’s founder. Their products are available in health food shops, pharmacies, supermarkets and wholesale stores.

The story behind the packaging for the products
The inspiration for packaging at Lincoln Gordon and Sons came from the need to present the award-winning multi-purpose sauce, initially created to complement dishes at their jerk pit, in a way that reflects the authentic flavours and culture of Jamaica, while also being practical for distribution to health food stores, pharmacies, supermarkets and wholesale stores.
We made these products to provide natural and great-tasting options that complement Jamaican dishes, celebrate the authentic flavours and culture of Jamaica, and support local agriculture by using locally grown produce.
Our first breakthrough came
After their participation in the Denbigh Agricultural Show, which served as a catalyst for their recognition and success, leading to the creation of their first of many accolades, such as the “National Bakery Bold Ones Champion of Manufacturing” and the “National Commercial Bank Nation Builder Innovation Award”.
The products became available to the public in
August 2011.
Our core customers are
People who are looking for authentic Jamaican products, healthy alternatives and natural products.
The response to the products has been
Tremendous! Our customers appreciate the alternative options to the conventional products.
Our products are successful because
Not only are they are authentically Jamaican but they are also gluten-free and natural, lacking any MSG. We strongly believe in utilising local produce to build not only Jamaica but also Jamaicans.
We plan to grow the business to become
A nationally recognised brand known for its diverse range of high quality, locally sourced products that celebrate Jamaican flavours and traditions while contributing to the growth and sustainability of local agriculture and the economy.
The major challenge is
Commercial transportation issues in efficiently distributing the products from the factory to various distribution points, which can lead to delays, increased costs and potentially affect customer satisfaction.
This issue remains
Transportation problems can directly affect the raw material inventory by delaying the arrival of supplies from local farmers or other suppliers, potentially causing disruptions in production schedules and leading to shortages.
