Stick Figure takes charge
American reggae outfit Stick Figure (led by Scott Woodruff) occupies four positions on this week’s Billboard Reggae Albums chart.
Wisdom is at #4, Set in Stone inches up to #5, while World on Fire dips one spot to #6. Burial Ground inches up to #9.
All four titles previously hit number one on the chart. Wisdom topped the chart in October 2022, Set in Stone spent three weeks on top in 2015, Word on Fire was on top for 12 weeks in 2019, and Burial Ground topped out for two weeks in 2012.
Bob Marley and the Wailers cling to the #1 spot for 182nd non-consecutive week with Legend, while Best of Shaggy: The Boombastic Collection by Shaggy is #2.
Sean Paul’s Dutty Classics Collection, which has been certified gold in the UK, remains at #3.
The hits-laden Greatest Hits by UB40 is firm at #7, while Byron Messia’s No Love remains at #8, where it peaked six weeks ago.
Count Me In by Rebelution re-enters the chart at #10.
On the Billboard Hot R&B Songs chart, Lipstick Lover by Janelle Monae, which samples Mad Cobra’s 1992 gold-selling hit Flex, dips from #24 to #25. On R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay, the song is steady at #27, while it fares better on Adult R&B Airplay chart, holding at #7.
Talibans by Byron Messia continues its upward trajectory on the Billboard charts. On R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay, it climbs to #45, while on Rap Airplay it debuts at #24.
Sean Paul’s 2005 hit Temperature re-enters the Billboard Rap Digital Song Sales chart at #6.
Wind Me Up by inspirational singer Dante Bowe, featuring reggae artiste Anthony B, climbs from #22 to #20 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart.
Over on the South Florida Reggae chart, Driver by Romain Virgo spends a second week at #1.
I’ll Be Waiting by Freddie McGregor (#23), while a remake of Barry Mann’s 1980 recording Don’t Know Much (made popular in 1989 by Aaron Neville and Linda Ronstadt) by reggae artistes Hopeton Lindo and Novel-T (#25) are this week’s new entries.
Nubian Woman by Grammy nominee Sister Carol tops the New York Reggae chart for a second week.
The new entries are Coconut Water by Buju Banton (#29) and If You Like Pina Coladas by DJ Cassidy, Shaggy and Rayvon (#30).
