Silk Boss reports to cops
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Christopher Phillips, commanding officer of the St Catherine South Police Division, says there is no reason to detain dancehall artiste Silk Boss.
The singjay was interrogated by the cops on Tuesday.
“Yes, he was in the presence of his lawyer on Tuesday. Our investigation continues and there was no reason to detain him despite the uncooperativeness,” said SSP Phillips.
Silk Boss was accompanied by his lawyer Michael Hemmings.
On Monday, Silk Boss has been named a person of interest by the St Catherine South Police. He was asked to report to the Portmore Criminal Investigation Branch by noon in relation to a viral video being circulated on social media of him being assaulted.
“We might have reasons to call him in again based on our investigations. He, however, showed the proper respect to the police by acknowledging our invitation within the time,” said SSP Phillips.
Silk Boss, given name Rohan Reid, hails from Irwin, St James. His popular songs include Mankind and Life Story.
