Gully Bop laid to rest
Scores of mourners converged on the grounds of Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre on Sunday to bid farewell to entertainer Robert Lee Malcolm, popularly known as Gully Bop.
The 59-year-old died on October 31, 2023 after battling illness.
Arriving in a glass casket, carried by a glass chariot drawn by a white Chevrolet Avalanche, the body of the late entertainer was dressed in a red suit with white gloves and accents.
Members of the his family, including his mother, brother and children, along with well-wishers were effusive in offering respect for the life lived by the artiste.
Claude “Big Stone” Sinclair delivered the eulogy chronicling the life and career of the man who gained fame through his lyrical abilities and social media.
Daughter Debrika Malcolm and sister Annmarie Chamberlain were selected to offer scripture readings.
Tributes also came from son Nico, cousin Cherine Clarke, artiste colleague Snagga Puss, and others.
The service was officiated by Bishop C A Samuelsm who encouraged attendees to seek the Lord’s guidance in handling the challenges of life.
After the spirited service his body was interred in King Weston District in rural St Andrew.
