Fire Ski calls for peace
Rising singjay Fire Ski is in high spirits due to the reception of his recently released single titled No More War.
“The feedback has been great! People have also reached out to me saying that they have been hearing the song being played on the radio,” he told the Jamaica Observer.
No More War was released in January on the Distrokid label.
According to the singjay, No More War highlights Jamaica’s desire for peace and that violence should not be used in resolving issues.
“The motivation behind No More War is to put an end to killing happening in the island and all over the world. I’m tired of hearing about gruesome killings, we must can live in unity,” he said.
Fire Ski, given name Fredrick Prince, hails from Red Hills in St Andrew. He began his musical career in 2010 when he released This Girl (Mad Happy Productions).
In 2021, the former student of Calabar High School gained traction with Life, which highlights the struggles he faced growing up and how he was able to overcome these obstacles.
He had some advice for up-and-coming artistes and urged them to stay positive despite the challenges.
“Stay positive and put Father God first. Pray before you go into your musical session and ask God to lead you. Always remember to stay persistent, say ‘I’m a winner’ and believe in yourself,” he said.
