Digicel introduces new digital music streaming app
Digicel customers will now be able to stream and download from a catalogue of over 25 million songs with d’Music a new digital music streaming mobile application.
Speaking at the launch of the Bob Marley week of birthday celebrations held at the Bob Marley Museum recently, Digicel’s head of marketing, Nadia Nivens-Jarrett, said: “The d’Music app was designed to give our customers access to music right at their fingertips, whenever they want it. Currently, we have over 25 million songs for them to choose from. Once they have an active plan, they can stream music anywhere, once they’re connected to our extensive 4G mobile network.”
“One of the best things about d’Music is that it features a lot of local artistes representing Brand Jamaica. Plus, through our partnerships with organisations like Tuff Gong International, customers can enjoy access to content like Bob Marley music via the d’Music app,” she continued.
The app is available for both Android and Apple devices and can be downloaded from the Apple App Store, the Google Play Store or from www.digicelmusic.com.
According to Nivens-Jarrett, customers will also be able to get the full experience of the d’Music app at the annual Redemption Live free concert being hosted by Digicel and Red Stripe in Half-Way-Tree on Sunday, February 5. The event will feature top acts, including Ky-Mani Marley, Ikaya, and Kabaka Pyramid.
