Elderly woman raped in Westmoreland

WESTMORELAND, Jamaica— A 91-year-old woman was allegedly raped in her community of Darliston, Westmoreland on Saturday night.

Detective Superintendent of Police (DSP) Dean Watson confirmed the incident with Observer Online on Sunday afternoon.

“We are currently investigating the matter, and we are also in the process of identifying the suspect,” DSP Watson said.

Observer Online understands that the elderly woman is currently admitted in hospital following the ordeal.
