Karma is real
SOME people say karma is a farce, a concept invented to make people feel better about wrongs committed against them, with the false hope that evil will eventually be punished. But for other people, karma is not only real — they also didn’t have to wait long to see it manifest and to see their enemies be struck down, delightfully.
What has been your “Whoa, karma is real” moment? These people share.
Bill, 46:
My ex kept our son away for me for most of his life, telling our child all kinds of stories about me, just because I moved on. Years were spent in court with me trying to get access, and each time I would get visitation, she would find some reason not to send him to visit. In the years of his childhood I only saw my son a few times, and I promised her that one day she would feel what I felt. Our son is now 16, and asked to live with me. I went back to court and this time the judge asked him what he wanted, and he said he did not want to live with his mother. He now lives with me, and is thriving, and barely has a relationship with his mother, who tried for years to poison his mind against me. In the end, love won.
Jasmine, 30:
A woman I was friends with started dating a recent ex of mine — he had cheated and also left me, and I wasn’t over it, and all our friends knew this. Instead of being on my side, she started dating him, and within months they were married and had a child soon after. To say I was crushed was an understatement. The other day she called me, crying and apologising because he had done the same to her that he had done to me. Not only had he cheated, but he had got a relative of hers pregnant. I listened to her, but couldn’t help gloating a little bit because she got her karma.
Davia, 34:
My former boss is just super disgusting and always gets away with dirty talk and things like that to us, because his family owns the company. Anybody who dared to say anything about his behaviour would be fired or relocated. I waited for years for his karma, because not only was he a pervert, he was an awful human being and show-off too. It took a Gen Z to serve him sauce. She came on internship and when he started with his foolishness, the little 18-year-old girl just taped his nastiness and blasted it on TikTok. These kids don’t play! His family sent him to therapy, and thankfully, to another area where we don’t have to interact with him.
Judene, 29:
My ex’s new girlfriend left him after he left me for her — she didn’t even spend six months with him. He had the audacity to be in my DMs right after, apologising like I was operating a lost and found. I acted like I was willing to forgive him and take him back and went on a couple dates with him. By that time he was willing to do anything to please me, so I borrowed his credit card and cleared my carts on Amazon and Shein, paid my bills, made him give his landlord notice, and prepare to move back in, then I ghosted him and went to cool out in the country for a couple months. The complex security called me and said he was at the gate with his moving truck, but I told security to tell him that I moved long ago.
