Sheinia Morgan tackles skin care and more at TbeautyBar Skin Care & Spa
HER skin care entrepreneurship journey began during the pandemic, right after losing her secretarial job. It was a bittersweet moment, Sheinia Morgan told All Woman, but she managed to pull through because of her ambition, drive, passion and persistence.
Morgan started out by selling hand sanitisers to local banks, barber shops, bars and pharmacies, while taking the opportunity to promote her business in small groups and doing street advertisements. Today, the owner of TbeautyBar Skin Care & Spa, an online-based, Montego Bay mobile spa business, says she has come full circle.
“I formulate non-toxic skin care products for my clients, offering a variety of unique treatments and signature services to satisfy my customers’ and clients’ needs,” Morgan shared.
The certified aesthetician with experience in facial, skin care and waxing, said it was very important for her to formulate organic/non-toxic skin care products, due to her own allergies, and understanding of clients’ health needs.
“My health has always been my number one priority and when creating my line of natural organic products I thought of how these products needed to absorb without causing any allergies, allergic reactions and harm to their skin,” she said. “Everyone now has a testimony — from customers, clients and retailers — who are all satisfied with my line of products that actually satisfy their beauty and skin care needs.”
She said she started to do research about the skin care and spa business, which led her to do some online courses, learning how to formulate candles, as well as products for hair growth, skin care products and more.
“I then decided I’d start doing more travelling with my business, with exhibitors’ shows and business events. I started my journey by hosting my first Brunch with Bosses event for business owners and entrepreneurs on May 12 this year at Montego Bay Yacht Club, Freeport.”
She said this first hosting event was an experience and a great opportunity for local business owners and entrepreneurs, bringing together leadership in the industry.
Some of Morgan’s unique treatments include deep pore and high frequency facials, treatment for stubborn acne, and specific routines depending on clients’ skin type.
“My customers go crazy over my soaps, serums and cleansers. The biggest issues for most women I have encountered have been with acne, dark spots and wrinkles. I always recommend a virtual consultation, as this helps with recommending the right products that are suitable for their skin types.
“When a person feels pampered, looks and feels fresh while having that healthy skin, it’s one of the best feelings,” she added.
Morgan said the journey has never been easy, but she is proud of herself for taking her business so far.
“My products are now local and international and I am overwhelmed with the support I am getting thus far,” she shared.
The products can be found in local pharmacies and stores, on Instagram (@tbeauty_ bar_101 ) and through international retailers in Barbados, St Lucia and England. Morgan is also aiming to break into the North American market.
“My advice to other entrepreneurs is you can do all things but fail; never give up on your goals or limit yourself trying to please others,” she said.
