Crochet Eye Candy

Michellae Walker, founder and CEO of Crochet Eye Candy, and Business Management student of the University of the West Indies, Mona, set out on a journey to add her flavour to the year-long trend of swimwear with her latest collection labelled the Candy Collection.“My intentions were to make a big splash in the fashion industry with this collection by using my crochet skills to give swimwear my signature touch,” shared Walker with AW Fashion. The collection is a successful stray from her initial merchandise of key chains, sandals, earrings and hair bows.“I recognised the high demand of swimwear and after doing 10 custom orders, I decided it was time to debut my line,” she continued.

With each piece taking at least an hour to construct, the collection features a sweet and intricate palette of vibrant colours paired with asymmetric shapes that create pieces that caress and complement the form, while enjoying a fun twist of sugary sweet names added to each piece.
