For over three decades, the family-operated menswear boutique MAXBROWN INTERNATIONAL — helmed by the mother-daughter duo of Karlene and Sophia Max-Brown — has held its own as one of the premier menswear boutiques in the Caribbean. Indeed, MAXBROWN INTERNATIONAL has remained committed to meeting the lifestyle needs of its diverse, high-profile clientele by importing some of the world’s leading brands. Buoyed by their 30thyear anniversary which was celebrated on December 17, the boutique has rolled out an impressive festive collection, charting velvet and satin as the fabrics for the New Year in royal or navy blue, burgundy and bordeaux — the season’s hottest hues.
“Our Holiday Collection,” shared the boutique’s MD Sophia Max-Brown, “segues from casual to formal… We have built a sound reputation for our superb customer service and quality merchandise. Luxury is our obsession and service is our passion.”
Our men have come a long way …Thirty years ago men were alot more conservative… seldom explored colours that were out of the mainstream or traditional.
The influence was a lot more British: classy and understated. Today, you are seeing a lot more risk-taking. They have embraced wider Europe, wearing bold colours and every style. They have become more fashion-conscious and pay a lot more attention to detail and what’s trending. This is great as menswear has become exciting with colours, style and fit.
The shoot, which was styled by Sophia Max-Brown, took place at the company’s Sovereign Centre flagship store and featured Saint International model Dominic Lee and Namibian sprinter Hitjiverue ‘Hitch’ Kaanjuka.
