This Christmas: Be the gift
GIFT-giving can be quite daunting when you can’t find the perfect item to express to your significant other how much they mean to you. Worse, if you have been super affectionate all year, Christmas gift-giving can be a task, as you’ve already said ‘I love you’ through various ways over the past year.
What do you do when there’s no material item that could quite send the message?
Many couples underestimate the value of self-gifting in a relationship — a sexy version of you trumps any new car, cologne or even jewellery that you could buy.
Below we share a number of ways that you can be the gift.
1. Surprise them
Trying something new in the bedroom could make a dull relationship exciting. This is the time that you could roll out that new position that your partner has been talking about for so long but you just never got around to doing it.
2. Dine in
Offering yourself as a platter could be the perfect gift. After selecting food items that your significant other enjoys, spread them over your body and invite him or her to dine. There is no doubt where this could lead.
3. Learn something they like
A sexy accent, foreign language or a key quote from their favourite television or book series could have you scoring big. Taking the time out to learn any of these and taking it into your bedroom, especially if you had no interest in it before, could mean a lot to your significant other.
4. Invite toys into play
If you are into toys you should definitely include one or two. Be sure to find out what your partner likes before you bring them into the bedroom, so that things don’t get uncomfortable. If you are not into toys, remember that the body is yours to explore. Make sure you touch your partner right, say the right things, and be patient so that you can build up anticipation.
5. Role play
Be someone you are not; that someone he or she finds so fascinating. Bring out the naughty nurse or army costume or your fairy wings because you are about to make all your mate’s wishes come true. Many men like when their women take charge, so tell him what to do, tease him and make him beg, then grant his wish in the true spirit of the season.
