Life begins at 40
It’s 2015 and the age revolution is going full steam ahead. Long gone are the days of the old maids and spinsters; indeed, cougars are in, and men are professing their preference for the older, more experienced woman.
Turning the big 4-0 is something that women now embrace — Michelle Obama, 51; LisaRaye, 49; Taraji Henson, 45; and Gabrielle Union, 42, are proof that age is just a number and life begins at any stage.
Today’s woman in her 40s is now getting married and having children. A woman of this age has fewer limitations with regards to health and lifestyle changes than those of previous generations. People are now living longer, and with proper lifestyle changes, can be healthy, fit and youthful in appearance for many years to come.
A woman at this age has a different view on life than when she was in her 20s, and this new vantage point has equipped her enough to conquer her future and what lies ahead. She doesn’t have time to worry about turning 50, nor does she have the patience for a midlife crisis. She is too busy enjoying life as she did at 16, and embracing her age.
The truth is that by the time a woman turns 40, she is more in tune with who she is and what she wants out of life. Her confidence has skyrocketed and she is in full control of her life, how she wants to live it, and who she wants in it. As they say, the older the moon, the brighter it shines.
