Everything he owns in a box to the left…
At one point he was the love of your life, the father of your future children, but now he is just a chronic problem in your life. Whether he cheated on you or you’re just over it, how do you get your live-in boyfriend out of your life for good?
Bridget Thompson-Dunkley, author of Sexual Encounters, shares some tips:
1. Talk to him about it
So the plan was for you to eventually get married and start a life together but that plan went through the window once you realised that his life was going nowhere fast. Now it’s full time for him to leave, but you have to make this known to him. You have to let your partner know that you want him out — out of not only your life, but from under your roof as well!
2. Support him
If he is willing to change or needs help to get back on his feet, the least you can do is meet him half-way there. Help him in whatever way you can — whether it’s looking through the classifieds or driving his stuff to his new place. Be helpful and get him started with this new life.
3. Last resort…
If push comes to shove, then you have to do what you have to do. No matter how much he begs, you have to let him go. No self-respecting man would allow himself to become that desperate. Just keep in mind that you may have to end up calling your big brother to physically remove him and his things from your house.
