Mood killers
What’s the one thing that can kill the mood; that can put an immediate stop to activities when you and your partner seek alone time? Below, readers share.
Sharon, 31:
I find cell phones to be very intrusive on your private time. You want to be intimate and someone is instant messaging you. Even if you do turn off the phone, it’s like mentally you are wondering if someone is messaging you. I also find that every time you want some private time with your partner, that’s when people decide to visit.
Marydith, 34:
When you’re married sometimes it’s hard to get intimate with your partner, as there are always relatives calling or your children needing something. It can be hard to get close with constant interruptions.
Gwen, 30:
I find that the TV is a vibes killer. It has become a part of our everyday lives to the point where we don’t even realise that it is playing in the background. Sometimes I will be trying to talk to him and he is just flipping through the channels. Then he’ll find some football to watch and then I know that I have lost him.
Alton, 33:
Sometimes just the aesthetics of the environment, example, if the place is too hot, like in Portmore, I find that I can’t be too close to anyone as I just want to get cool.
Jean, 34
I find that if my partner just coming in from a party where he was around people who were smoking and he was drinking alcohol, then I can’t be around him. It’s a major turn off for me to be around someone who smells like that especially if the scent is strong.
