50 pounds down, more to go
Dear Donovan,
I’ve recently started exercising and lost 50 pounds naturally. I was on a weight loss supplement that worked more miracles and made the weight go quickly. I stopped, but now my stomach feels sore when I eat. My diet consists of mainly fruits and vegetables and little or no carbohydrates. I’m now at 160 pounds and want to get to 135. Can you assist me?

Good day Anthoniel,
Congratulations on your 50-pound weight loss. This you did in a natural and healthy way; however, I see where you went on weight loss supplements/pills and since you have stopped taking them your stomach feels sore when you eat.
I must tell you I am not a big fan of weight loss supplements. Maybe they are best used in drastic and desperate overweight situations. You showed you had the discipline to lose 50 pounds, therefore there might have been no need to use the supplements.
There are some questions going through my mind. How much more weight did you lose on the weight loss supplements? I’m also wondering why you stopped taking your weight loss pills and whether you feel the pills affected your stomach.
My first suggestion to you is to have your stomach checked out by a doctor. You should not be feeling pain when you eat. I am wondering if by some means you have developed an ulcer. This would not be good. I’m also wondering if the pills were a little too harsh on the stomach or your mealtimes have been irregular. It is very important that when you’re on a weight loss programme you eat on time. Also, I see where your final goal is 135 pounds and you are now at 160 pounds. As I have mentioned before, I would suggest that you get your stomach checked out and fixed by a doctor. If your stomach is not well this could affect further weight loss.
In the meantime, to get weight loss going you could increase your cardiovascular exercises. This will help to burn more calories and help the weight loss process. In addition, until your stomach feels better, I would suggest you stay away from acidic foods. You could also incorporate some green juice in your diet; this will help to soothe the stomach. When your stomach is better, you will be able to cut further food intake and this will help you to lose more weight.
Good luck!
