‘A Fashion Affair’
The Norma Martin-organised ‘A Fashion Affair’, held at the Holiday Inn Select ballroom in Atlanta on Saturday, June 21, pulled out all the stops to showcase an exciting collection of fashions from Jamaica, Africa and the USA. The production, directed by Weston Haughton, featured designer collections, dance and musical cabaret acts, and exposed patrons to an evening of superb entertainment.
A Fashion Affair has been involved in the promotion of Jamaican model and design talent over its nine-year existence and event proceeds go toward The Destiny’s Child Charity in Nigeria. Designers reppin’ Jamaica were Mutamba, Uzuri International, and Polka Dots Fitness Wear. Sara Odingo and Afifimma Couture presented collections out of Kenya and Nigeria, respectively. The Atlanta-based Linda Sears and Pansy Manley put in a showing, along with American men’s retail chain K&G Superstore. All Woman Fashion hits the runway!
