Whoosh! Never a dull moment on The Rock.
Many are now able to exhale, what with Michael Lee Chin still landing on the annual Forbes billionaire listing (albeit barely) while others are perhaps finally understanding why he had to do the Portie ‘pause’.
Seems it’s every man fe himself .the parent company might only be worth a mere dollar but the footballer told the gathering that he, well you know, has targets to hit and buying and selling ostensibly for profit might become a reality!
Obama might refer to it as nationalisation, but here on The Rock it’s called Finsac 2. The bigger dilemma remains where will the money come from.
On the subject of Finsac 2, surely it’s not true that the well-placed one paved the way for a major bailout. mind you even after this intervention the institution is still in problems.
Now that things are falling apart, the ones that were cool and easy have been able to save their careers and move on to greener pastures. Mind you, some of the more vocal ones have simply disappeared.
And on the subject of disappearance, the hunt is on in earnest for the vocal attorney-at-law. The song they’re singing is “Someone please call 911. she’s in trouble, big, big trouble”.
Some are suggesting that the big resignation paves the way for a salvation of sorts. Others feel that what’s needed is a $200-million excess inventory miracle!
A Bientôt!
PS People are asking if the running of the country has been placed on hold or if central government has moved to Portie. We’re asking Scotty to beam our PM and Leader of the Opposition back to base.
PPS No official word yet from the Ministry of Finance but we gather two announcements might be made pretty soon. One might very well announce itself.
