What could be better than a girls’ night out? Girls’ day in.at the spa that is! “Ladies should be afforded the opportunity to pamper themselves, while socialising and having fun with their friends,” says Kimisha Walker, managing director of Adam & Eve Day Spa located at 114 Constant Spring Rd, Kingston 10.

Since opening a mere five months ago, Walker has already found clients gravitating to all the services the spa has to offer, and has also found spa parties to be high in demand. “Spa parties here at Adam & Eve are a luxurious, creative alternative to the traditional bridal or baby shower. But are also just a special time for a group of ladies to catch up, and have some fun while relaxing,” she explains.

Shrills of laughter are heard coming from the back of the location as a spa party is already in session. Six ladies – Safia Cooper, Andrene Higgins, Shani Williams, Karelle Brown, Aida Davis and Nadia Walker – are all feasting on hors d’oeuvres and sipping mimosa, each opting to be pampered by one of the many services that Adam & Eve has to offer.

After the confab, each is whisked away to her own station by a member of the Adam & Eve staff to have a service provided whether a massage, manicure, pedicure facial, hair styling or wax, they all seem thrilled.

As Safia Cooper puts it, while getting a manicure and skilfully munching on a slice of cake provided for the party: “What could be better?”

With a bevy of spas available in Jamaica, what makes Adam & Eve so special? “This is something that I have always wanted to do. I wanted to make sure that when a client enters the door they immediately feel at home and relaxed,” expresses Walker. Client Mitsy Armond, who came to get her hair styled and eyebrows waxed, but was not a part of the party, concurred, stating, “When you come here you feel special, everyone is welcoming and understands that customer service is paramount”.

But what about the prices? With a smile Mitsy says, “the prices are a bit higher than other places, but for the treatment and service that I get, I believe it’s worth it”.
