Of early retirement, law suits and alimony reductions
Can hardly wait to whisper this one as it is spreading faster than that awful flu.
Well, the son of a former MP and brother of that other one (yeah that same one) wants to retire early. Since 911 life has not been the same, job cuts etc. And since he no longer has that super comfy job, he wants to sue. Talk about biting the hand that fed him and for so long at that. Tatler means caviar, proscuitto, stuffed marinated olives, dainty cocktail patties, the works.
The loudest whispers are about the claims (some his personal laundry), dating back to September 1998.
This one we suspect is headed for Judge Judy so we need lots of TV snacks. Will keep you posted as this one promises to be better than you could ever imagine
In Negril that delightful property called Country Country owned by Xavier and Roma Chin seems to be headed in the direction of Montego Bay to Coyaba. One thing’s certain: the formidable Coyaba duo will take good care of things.
Bad news over at Chris Blackwell’s Island Plaza. Shops are closing. The duty free guys have left and the top man has been fired. I guess his feasibility plan wasn’t all that feasible.
As we head towards the festive season, let me once again remind you that poverty still sucks. Please do not, however, sue those that feed you to become financially sound. What you can do though, is procure suites on the luxury cruise ship Radisson’s ‘Seven Seas Navigator’ spotted Tuesday last in Port Antonio. The rich folks (the 33,000-ton Seven Seas Navigator features all-ocean view suites) just loved the refurbished Ken Wright Cruise Terminal.
The other huge whispers of the week outside of the birthdays of Karlene Walters and Seamus Lynch is that Ann Chen-Sayou is looking even more fabulous than ever (if that is at all possible). Rey, her new hubby has a glow too. The fab Miss Walters had a cosy Sunday birthday do for a few ‘intimes.’
McMasters University was where Michael Lee Chin and complete family spent last weekend. It’s now Dr Mike, so there.
Well, here goes! The super cheap, not young divorced one from the well established political family, has declared to the courts that he’s unemployed. The result is that the alimony which wasn’t enough in the first place has been further reduced. How absolutely KOMMON with two capital K’s.
A Bientot!
PS Congrats to Emma Crichton, who was called to the Torah as a Bat Mitzvah on Saturday November 1.
Congrats too over there in Toronto to Tanya and Geoffrey Melbourne on the birth of their daughter Geena Kirsten. All are well.
PPS Breaking news: Michelle Haynes has finally learnt to cook…at least a potato salad.
