Grand Slam delight

Founded by US Olympic champion Michael Johnson, Grand Slam Track is described as a revolutionary track league to elevate the sport’s global footprint.
Friday’s opening day attracted an enthusiastic crowd who found delight in the performances of some of the world’s top sprinters.
Competition on today’s second day of the three-day meet is scheduled to open with Jamaican high school competitors at approximately 4:00 pm, followed by the men’s 110m hurdles at 5:42 pm.
Grand Slam Track features 96 competitors, consisting of 48 “Racers” and 48 “Challengers” from across 22 countries competing in various track events, including sprints, hurdles, and distance races.
After the Jamaica launch the event moves to Ansin Sports Complex in Miami, May 2-4; then to Franklin Field, Philadelphia, May 30-June 1; followed by Drake Stadium, Los Angeles, June 27-29.
