PACK Plays, the Ricardo Mathie-conditioned, four-year-old, Americn-bred dark bay/brown colt, will be looking to bounce back from a disappointng finish in the Chairman’s Trophy on February 17, when he was fourth, 15¾ lengths behind Barnaby in the seven-and-half- furlong (1,500m) event.

However, this afternoon’s $1.4-million Gregory Park Trophy, the main attraction on the nine-race card at Caymanas Park, might just be the opportunity he needs to redeem himself. The Open Allowance contest for three-year-olds and upward will run over five furlongs (1,000m) round.

The shorter distance of this race is expected to play to Pack Plays’ strengths, and his impressive speed and pace make him a formidable contender. With his pedigree tied to Stay Thirsty and Standard Deal, Pack Plays has the potential to make a significant impact in this nine-race card event.

Pack Plays is looking imperious with two impressive workouts under his belt. On March 16 he galloped four furlongs in 48.1 seconds, and just six days later, on March 22, he upped the ante by galloping five furlongs in 1:00.2. These workouts demonstrate his speed, agility, and endurance, making him a strong contender to take home the Gregory Park Trophy. With these brilliant performances Pack Plays is poised to make a significant impact in the race.

The contest is positioned as the third event on the programme with a post time of 1:35 pm. First race is at 12:15 pm.

A familiar foe within the same stable, Wall Street Trader is expected to be Pack Plays’ biggest rival in the five-horse field.

Wall Street Trader impressed with a 4½-length victory over six and a half furlongs (1,300m) on March 5. Although he faces a tougher test in this higher class, he’s expected to make a bold bid.

The remaining runners are Digital One, California Crown, and Benson.
