#Champs2025: KC win 36th Champs title, Hydel High reclaim crown
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Kingston College celebrated their centenary with a 36th hold on the Mortimer Geddes trophy, winning boys’ Champs and Hydel High won their second girls’ championships in three years as another spectacular ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys’ and Girls’ Athletics Championships came to an end at the National Stadium on Saturday.
Kingston College gave outgoing Head Coach Leford Grant a great going away gift as they amassed 293 points to turn back the challenge of Calabar High in one of the most closely run Champs.
Hydel High took full advantage of mistakes made by Edwin Allen High School to romp to a solid win, scoring 277 points, 11 more than Edwin Allen High’s 266 with Holmwood Technical a creditable third with 230.5 points.

St Jago High — 135
Excelsior High — 78
The top five girls’ schools were:
Hydel High — 277 points
Edwin Allen High — 266
Holmwood Technical — 230.5
St Jago High — 149
Immaculate Conception — 100 points
The close of Saturday’s events marked the end of the 115th staging of the event.
