#Champs2025: Lacovia file protest over Dockery’s DQ from 200m semis
KINGSTON, Jamaica—The Jamaica Observer Online has been reliably informed that Lacovia High has lodged a protest over the disqualification on Friday of the girls’ Class 1 100m gold medallist, Sabrina Dockery, from the 200m at the 115th ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys’ and Girls’ Athletics Championships.
Dockery appeared well set for the Girls Class 1 sprint double after winning the 100m in a personal best 11.08 seconds on Wednesday and had led the 200m qualifying on Thursday.
She was, however, disqualified in the semi-finals for a false start along with Immaculate Conception’s Shevi-Anne Shim.
Dockery, the fifth fastest Jamaican junior female over 100m and the World Under-20 leader, was being disqualified for the second straight year in the 200m after she was ejected for a false start in the Class 2 200m final last year.
