#Champs2025: KC, Hydel lead after day three
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Defending boys’ champions Kingston College and former girls’ winners Hydel High were the respective leaders after Thursday’s third day of the 115th ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys’ and Girls’ Athletics Championships at the National Stadium.
Kingston College were on 99.5 points after 15 finals in the boys’ section, 23.5 points ahead of Calabar on 76 points, with Jamaica College on 54 points in third. St Jago High, 34, and Excelsior High, 33, round off the top five.
Munro College, who scored 28 points on the day, raced up to sixth place on 30 points, followed by Wolmer’s on 27, Edwin Allen High and St Elizabeth Technical on 18, and Bellefield High and Holmwood Technical both on 15 points.
Five points separate the top three in the girls’ section after 16 finals, with Hydel High leading on 88 points, four more than defending champions Edwin Allen High, 84. Holmwood Technical are just a point back in third place. St Jago High on 48 points and Immaculate Conception on 35 round out the top five.
Vere Technical were sixth on 29 points, followed by Wolmer’s, 25, Excelsior, 23, Alphansus Davis, 22, and St Mary High School also on 22 to complete the top 10.
