Crediting her shine to self-actualisation, the Fresh and Clean singer says she has come into her own over the past few years and is looking forward to taking her career to higher heights as she prepares new music.

“I am honoured to be here in this space, this industry, and I have just been concentrating on growth really. I’m living, giving thanks for how far I’ve come in this business and just working on new music,” she said. “I released Unforgettable last year and we’re just rolling in with positivity and keeping focused on our goals in 2025. I have had a lot of changes over the past six months. I’ve come into myself as a woman, as an artiste. Life experiences are taking me into the phase and mode of the music that I want to put out at this stage of my career.”
That said, Jaz Elise revealed that she is working on her début album. She shared that, having experimented with her sound, image, and messages over the past five years, she is ready to put out a body of work that reflects her growth.

“The album is going to reflect all of what I’ve experienced along this journey so far. I’m zoning in on what I like to sound like after spending a lot of time finding out who I am in music. I have a lot to say but I want to make sure that what I end up saying will resonate with people,” she shared. “We’re all living our lives and we all go through different things, we experience different things and we are around people that are experiencing things that matter to us as black women, as Jamaicans, as Caribbean nationals, everything you can think of that makes us unique as a people. That’s who I am and who I want to share through my music.”
“There’s going to be love, there’s going to be consciousness, there’s going to be aches and pains and lessons, and you’re gonna get that in the new music,” she continued.

But while she admits she has discovered a lot about herself and her artistry since her industry début, Jaz Elise says she still has a lot more to learn. Highlighting that she will always be a student of the business, the entertainer says at the end of the day, she just wants her message to be well received.
“For me, it doesn’t matter where I reach in life, I have so much more to learn and uncover and share. At the end of the day my heart can want to say something, but it will be about how that reaches people ultimately. My music is going to reach people differently and so all I want to be is as authentic and as honest I can and just hope that people feel that and it resonates with them,” she told the Observer.
