UPDATE: Man shot on Molynes Road dies at hospital
KINGSTON, Jamaica — One of two men shot at the intersection of Molynes Road and Washington Boulevard on Monday morning has died while the other remains in stable condition, Observer Online understands.
The deceased has been identified as a 29-year-old mechanic known as “Shane”.
Details of the early morning murder shared by the police are that Shane was driving when at the stoplight at the intersection of the two roads gunmen on a motorbike pulled up and opened fire.
The gunmen reportedly fired shots from both sides of the car, hitting the deceased multiple times in the upper body.
Another driver, a man who was turning at the intersection from Washington Boulevard onto Molynes Road, was shot in the face. The bullets also pierced a third vehicle, a Kia driven by a female who escaped harm.
Both men were rushed to the Kingston Public Hospital where Shane died while undergoing treatment.
