Ashley Richards and Nickoy Davis, both 22 years of age, are the new Mr and Ms CMU titleholders.
They were crowned Saturday night in a coronation show that took place at the Caribbean Maritime University courtyard at Palisadoes in east Kingston. The show ran for over five hours.
Richards, who is from St Ann, said she was surprised at her win.
“I am still in shock. I never expected to win,” the Logistics and Supply Chain Management student told Observer Online shortly after being crowned.

Jeffanie Demontagnac, winner of two sectional prizes, received a basket of Big Bamboo Irish Moss from his sponsor.
Nickoy Davis from Caanan Heights in May Pen, Clarendon said he too was in disbelief that he came out on top in the male competition, despite winning five of the sectional prizes.
“I was not expecting this. Right now, I am just living in the moment,” he told Observer Online.
Jeffanie Demontagnac from St Elizabeth said the competition helped him to come out of his comfort zone.
“I had a great experience and this definitely helped me to come out of my comfort zone. It also brought a lot of opportunities for me and I am very happy,” said Demontagnac who won the sectional prizes for Most Disciplined Male and Most Improved Male.
