Trmor excited about new single with Tifa
Dancehall artiste Trmor recently proved the age-old aphorism “Closed mouths don’t get fed,” to be true when he asked dancehall star Tifa if she would a record a song with him.
The easy-going singjay popped the question while Tifa was doing an interview on a popular live podcast show on TikTok.
“Tifa has always been one of my favourite dancehall artistes, so during the question-and-answer segment of the podcast I requested to go into the box. When you’re in the box you only get to ask the celebrities one question. So I knew I had to make my one question count. Just before I asked the question I said to myself, ‘Trmor, you bad enuh, and if you collab with Tifa, the track a go big.’ So, I just pushed aside the fear of rejection and asked her if she would do a feature on a song with a young artiste, and she said once the song bad anything’s possible.”
He added: “I was so excited that I stayed up all night thinking about the track. The next day I organised the song with my team so Tifa could add her vocals to it if she liked it. Once that was done my publicist, Ralston Barrett, made the link with Tifa. When he told me that she said she liked the song and agreed to do the feature, I was overcome with joy.”
Trmor says he’s confident that the song, which is titled Moan, will be a summer hit.
“Moan is a very hypnotic track, and it’s guaranteed to make the ladies gyrate and bruk out in the parties. Since its release I’ve been getting a lot of positive feedback from my fans and industry insiders about it. My team and I believe it has the potential to be a big summer hit and we’re putting a lot of promotion behind it,” said Trmor.
Moan was produced by Kasteel Nation and released in February.
