Leaders clash in Jamaica Women’s Premier League

DEFENDING champions Frazsiers Whip FC and Los Perfectos FC will put their perfect records on the line when they clash in the first game of the Jamaica Women’s Premier League double-header at Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex, set to start at 1:00 pm.

On paper the game promises to be close, with both teams only conceding one goal so far in their two games, but Frazsiers Whip have started their title defence on a high, scoring 13 goals.

Los Perfectos FC, who returned to the competition this season following a lengthy break, beat WiFi United 2-0 last weekend following their opening-day, 6-1 win over Federal United.

Cavalier FC and UWI Women’s FC, both of whom got their fist wins last weekend and are separated by a point, are to meet at Alpha Institute (formerly Alpha Boys’ School).

Cavalier FC beat Mile Gully FC 4-1 in Manchester last weekend, while UWI Women’s blanked Real Montego Bay 2-0.

A number of other teams are still seeking their first win of the season.

Arnett Gardens and Mile Gully FC are to meet in the second game at Anthony Spaulding Complex; Real MoBay and Proven Girls are to clash at Llandilo Sports Complex at 1:00 pm; and Springers United, who were docked the point they earned from a draw against Federal United, will hope to get their first point when they travel to Carder Park to face WiFi United.
