Business Social – March 14
The Business Social this week follows up with Jamaica Public Service Company Limited (JPS), which hosted an International Women’s Day (IWD) event at S Hotel Kingston under the theme ‘Accelerate Action: Do It Already!’. The event featured a wide range of women speakers — from Lisa Hanna, Member of Parliament (MP) for St Ann South Eastern, and Mariame McIntosh Robinson, a global financial services leader. The event was designed to empower women to take decisive action in both their personal and professional lives, with a focus on leadership, resilience, and breaking barriers. Here are the highlights:

Lisa Hanna, Member of Parliament for Saint Ann South Eastern and former minister of youth and culture, emphasised the importance of education, discernment, and precise action, noting that acceleration is about strategy and well-calculated moves for sustainable success.

Maxine Faulkner, JPS executive assistant to the president and CEO, looked radiant in a beautiful patterned dress.
