Three charged, 11 others arrested during St Mary operation
ST MARY, Jamaica — Within 24 hours, a joint military and police operation in two communities in St Mary led to the arrest of three individuals for lottery scamming and resisting arrest, as well as 11 others for involvement in various illegal activities.
According to police reports, the operation began on Tuesday in the Bogogee community of Jacks River.
There, a house occupied by several men, was searched. The individuals were taken into custody, and two of them—23-year-old Daguane Whitly and 27-year-old Davion Armstrong—were charged with possession of identity information.
On Thursday, an early morning operation in Guava and Grass Piece, located in Belfield, St Mary, resulted in the arrest of seven individuals after the premises they occupied were searched, and paraphernalia related to lottery scamming was found.
A 35-year-old painter, Peter Clarke, was also charged with resisting arrest.
