Minto taken to hospital following New Market crash
ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica— Head of the St Elizabeth police, Superintendent Coleridge Minto, has been taken to hospital following a two-vehicle collision on the New Market main road in St Elizabeth on Thursday afternoon.
An unmarked service vehicle, a Mitsubishi Pajero, assigned to Minto, was involved in the crash. It is not clear if Minto was the driver or a passenger in the vehicle.
The other vehicle involved is a Nissan pickup.
In a WhatsApp message, Minto confirmed the accident but said he was on his way to the hospital.
“I can’t speak,” he said via WhatsApp.
His condition and whether he sustained injury are not clear at this time.
