Skillibeng, Shenseea join Moliy on Shake it to the Max (Fly) remix
Dancehall artistes Skillibeng and Shenseea have joined Ghanian-American singer Moliy on the official remix of her hit song Shake it to the Max (Fly).
The remix debuts at #16 on the Billboard US Afrobeats Songs chart.
This is the second entry on the US Afrobeats Songs chart for both Skillibeng and Shenseea. Last year Skillibeng was featured on a remix of Tyla’s Jump, which rose to #3 on the chart, while in 2022 Shenseea was featured on Fireboy DML’s Diana, which peaked at #17.
Shake it to the Max (Fly) remix was produced by South Florida-based Silent Addy, who at one time resided in Jamaica. He previously worked on songs for the likes of Popcaan, Projexx, among others.
He was also a DJ for the late dancehall artiste J Capri and Chi Ching Ching.
Shake it to the Max (Fly) remix ranked at #5 on local YouTube Trending for Music as of Tuesday, with more than 1.1 million views since its release on February 20.
On Monday night all three artistes were seen at Uptown Mondayz shooting the remix video for Shake it to the Max (Fly).
Still on Billboard’s US Afrobeats Songs chart, Awuke by Davido and YG Marley dips from #22 to #26 after peaking at #9.
Over on Rhythmic Top 40 Airplay, Skip Marley’s Close makes its exit, while Treasure and Gold by Busta Rhymes featuring YG Marley remains at #34 in its 4th week on the chart.
Push 2 Start (remix) by Tyla and Sean Paul is #28 on the New Zealand Hot 100, while over on the Nigeria Hot 100 chart which utilises the same chart methodology as the Billboard Hot 100, Push 2 Start bolts from #57 to #30 in its second week.
Bob Marley and the Wailers continues to dominate the #1 spot on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart with
Legend clocking 268 non-consecutive weeks on top.
Hot Shot by Shaggy enjoys a revival, inching up from #3 to #2, Dutty Classics Collection by Sean Paul slips to #4, and World on Fire by Stick Figure is firm at #4.
Greatest Hits by UB40 holds at #5, and Sean Paul’s Dutty Rock re-enters at #6.
Wisdom and Set in Stone by Stick Figure are #7 and #8, while Exodus by Bob Marley and the Wailers slips to #9.
Welcome to Jamrock by Damian “Jr Gong” Marley falls to #10.
Close by Skip Marley takes over the #1 spot on the New York Reggae chart, while Everything and Anything by Agent Sasco and Lila Ike glides from #8 to #5.
Old Gyalis by Nigy Boy improves from #11 to #9, and Sidem by Peaches Adaba inches up from #25 to #24.
Over on the South Florida Reggae chart, I’m Thankful by Ambelique clocks its third week at #1.
Alive (Year 2025) by Mr Vegas rises from #10 to #6 while Truly by Twiggi goes from #15 to #12.
Blame it on the Wine by Hezron enters at #23, and Hurting Inside by Claire Angel makes its debut at #25.
