Bus conductor facing larceny charges
ST CATHERINE, Jamaica – Detectives attached to the St Catherine South Police Division have charged a man with house breaking and larceny and malicious destruction of property following an incident at a primary school in Central Village, in the parish on Sunday, February 23.
Charged is 18-year-old Prince Brown a bus conductor of Windsor Heights, Central Village, St Catherine.
Reports from the Central Village police are that about 3:00 pm, Brown allegedly entered the school compound and forced open the doors to the tuck shop, staff room, classrooms and administrative office and stole juice and snacks of an undetermined sum of money, then left by way of entry. During the incident, a cash register was damaged.
A report was made to the police, and during an intelligence-led operation, Brown was arrested. He was formerly charged following a caution statement and a question and answer session in the presence of his attorney.
His court date is being finalised.
