Falmouth and Reno clash in JFF Championships
TRELAWNY, Jamaica – Joint Zone B leaders Falmouth United and Reno FC will clash in Saturday’s feature game in the Jamaica Football Federation Championships. It’s the first game of a double header at the Trelawny Multipurpose Stadium in Florence Hall, Trelawny, set to start at 1:00 pm.
Both teams are on 10 points and hold the same goal-difference — only separated by goals scored. It sets up what should be a close encounter between two teams off to a good start in the competition.
Falmouth United have won three straight games after drawing the opening encounter while Reno FC drew their last game, held 0-0 at home by Treasure Beach FC after starting the season with three straight wins.
Newcomers Duncans FC are three points behind the leaders and will face fourth-placed Treasure Beach FC in the opening game in the first ever meeting between both teams. One point separates the two teams as Treasure Beach picked up four points from their last two games while Duncans United were 2-0 winners over Mt Pleasant FA juniors at Drax Hall a week ago.
Zone A leaders Lime Hall FC, on 10 points, are hoping to stay in the lead as they will host last-placed Portlanders FC at Drax Hall.
