Dynamic win men’s 4x100m, Sprintec women set world lead at Gibson/McCook
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Dynamic Speed TC won the men’s clubs/institutions 4x100m relay at the 48th Gibson/McCook Relays at the National Stadium on Saturday.
The team of Yohan Blake, Akeem Blake, Javari Thomas and Sandrey Davison clocked 38.68 seconds, the third fastest time in the event so far this year.
Elite Performance TC finished second in 39.53 seconds with GC Foster Lions third in 39.66 seconds.
Racers Track Club, who were given a good start by Oblique Seville, did not finish the race as they could not get the baton to Zharnel Hughes on the anchor leg.
SprinTec, with Jodean Williams on anchor, set a meet record and world leading 43.06 seconds to win the clubs/institutions women’s race, breaking the record 43.13 seconds set by UTech in 2013. Elite Performance were second with 43.73 seconds and UTech were third in 45.46 seconds.
