Grace Foods makes ‘Good Move’ with donations to two charities
GRACE Foods has reaffirmed its commitment to community development by donating $100,000 each to Together We Rise Charity and HeavenSent Foundation. The contributions, made through the company’s Good Move Programme, support organisations dedicated to making a meaningful impact in their communities.
The initiative invited the public to nominate charities creating positive change, with the two recipients being selected for their significant contributions.
The donations were formally presented during a handover ceremony held recently at Grace Foods’ head office in downtown Kingston.
Michaela Francis, head of marketing at Grace Foods, highlighted the company’s dedication to social impact and its ongoing efforts to support initiatives that drive meaningful change.
“At Grace Foods we believe in taking action to uplift our communities. Through the Good Move Programme we wanted to recognise and support organisations which embody the spirit of positive change. Together We Rise Charity and the HeavenSent Foundation are making a real impact, and we are proud to support their work,” said Francis.
Together We Rise Charity focuses on feeding programmes and social support initiatives, regularly providing meals and essential supplies to the less fortunate. HeavenSent Foundation is dedicated to assisting underserved communities, offering food, clothing, shelter, and scholarships to people in need.
Davia Nichol, co-founder of Together We Rise Charity, expressed gratitude for the support.
“We are incredibly grateful to Grace Foods for this contribution, which will strengthen our efforts to reach those in need. This donation will allow us to expand our outreach and provide critical resources to vulnerable individuals,” said Nichol.
Alejandra Williams, CEO and co-founder of HeavenSent Foundation, also acknowledged the impact of the donation.
“This funding will help us grow our initiatives and provide essential assistance. Specifically, it will support our mentees at the primary and secondary levels with lunch vouchers, transportation, and education grants. We truly appreciate this partnership and look forward to the impact it will have,” said Williams.
This donation is one part of a broader effort under the Good Move Programme, which highlights and supports actions that create meaningful connections.
